The past one was an extraordinary week in the life of Lederonia,
as it was the Great Leader Visit of the Museum of Modern Art in
Manhattan, which concluded a serial of gallery visits through our
prosperous and proud community, started on last thursday at Foley's
Gallery.
The One Leader, The Great Leader was impressed by Thomas Allen
photography, which in a playfull and clever way, old books covers
are blowed life into it.
The artist and the Leader exchanged ideas and memories in a brief
conversation while the gallery owner, Mr. Foley, dressed in a dark velvet
suit entertained the visitor party with usefull and educational information
on the work displayed.
The Great Leader did leave a message on the guest book: "Neat Work Tom!".
On Saturday, The Great Leader was accompained by Her Greatness and
by personal friend and owner of the domain name of this internet site,
Ms. Numberonehitsong, in a un-scheduled visit in a boutique gallery in Long Island City.
The work shown included a take on the biosphere, photographs of the
Parade in which The Great Leader was awarded "Best Neptune 2001",
abstract paintings on paper, jewelery, fashion apparels, metal work and a
strange fountain that spelled words and maybe poetry.
Later on that day, returning in Leaderonia, the last of the galleries exhibit,
The Great Leader with Her Greatness visioned the work of several young
artist and personal friend and talented artist Ms. Ku.
Ms. Ku's drawings were hung on the walls of the crispy Open Ground space,
some were hung right in the middle on the room. Her depiction of young girls
and birds were in the artist words a recall of the cultural revolution in China
during the Great Leap Forward. The visitors could enjoy the disturbing and
twisted nightmarish images while enjoy the presence of the artist dressed
prettily and innocentely in white.
The other artists exhibited some good work and some less good, in example,
the comic book-type pop imagery or the poorly executed childish small
drawings which were taped on the wall in front of a chair with a walkman
and headphones. A finer feature was a series of decoupages assembled
delicately in columns and rows.
On Sunday the Visiting party included the Secretary of The Moving Image
the Italian, the Minister of Research of Sound Mr. Jung and The Great Leader
family member Ms. Paupardin.
In the first official visit in teh New MoMA the Great Leader was struck by the
absence of signage and the surprising unprofessionality of the floor staff.
Once inside, the crowd moved from space to space in enjoyment of famous
and less known work.
The scheduled visit included the screening of an Italian filmaker which
disappoited the Great Visiting Party especially the Italian.
Your Greatness!
Delighted that you can afford to attend all the so-called "art" spaces in Leaderonia. I am not privileged to do the same and rightly so, for "art" should be for the wealthy only.
However, I was lucky enough enough to attend the "art for the people" (no entrance fee) exhibit by Thomas Allen at the Foley Gallery and concur that the photographs were original and somewhat provocative. Perhaps these photos will find their way to MoMA and the people will be barred (and rightly so) from seeing them.
"Art is for the wealthy, not for the people".
"If it doesn't sell, it's not art".

Specifically, you gave a review about "Chance Encounters" at Open Ground. I think it's great that you give perks to your friends but you should at least mention the names of the other artists in the show. The review was just a little bit more than biased.
Posted by: Dewd at December 8, 2004 03:27 AMThe Secretary of Real Culture encourages everyone to comment on Leaderonia' leading words.
The Depatment would like to thank the individual that has left a message, alas, anonymously.
Ironically the anonymous demanded Ledearonia authorities to reveal the names of three artist whose work was mentioned in the Secretariat of teh One Leader, The Great Leader.
Inherefore The Department will underline the complete interest in aknwolegding the identity of the commenter in order to respond with legittimate interest.
Please visit enty named " VISUAL ART EVENT" extended version to find out more about the artist whose work was mentioned in this commented entry.
I'm the one who exhibited the "finer feature of decoupages assembled delicately in columns and rows." Thank you for the positive review but it would have been nice if you mentioned my name. Besides I had more work in there than just the decoupages. But you seemed to have skimed over it.
Okay so you describe in great detail your friends work, Fay Ku, who I happen to agree with does beautiful work and then you dismiss the rest of the artists by referring to them as the "other artists". I find this ultimately insulting. Maybe you should describe in more detail why some of the work is less good? Is this reviews sole purpose to give perks to your friends? How can anyone take it seriously?
Mr [removed],
The Great Leader is proud of your seriousness about Art.
He gave instructions to His Department of Illimitated Ideas to
award you with a medal for Brave Artistry.
Also He would like to make clear one single serious point:
This Is Not An Art Review Blog.
Therefore all content is solely for the pleasure of the Graet Leader and His personal Friends, if He does not know people , He is free to omit their name...
THE SECRETARIAT
Posted by: SECRETARIAT OF THE GREAT LEADER at December 8, 2004 11:24 PMIt's nearly 2005. Have Mr. [removed, and his sockpuppet] never heard of blogs? You know what a blog is, gentlemen? It's a biased, personal perspective, writ large (or small) on teh intarweb. No one owes you a living. Get your own blog if you want to promote yourself. It's free, after all. Otherwise, quit whining.
Yeah [removed], don't you know what the comments of a blog are for? Why to wank the Great Leader, of course.
Shame, Shame. We are professionals here -- respect Comments (0)
Posted by: blogshmog at December 10, 2004 12:22 AMA rumor says The Great Leader had been amused, in judging one rare outing in the walks of the Art Park.
He will dedicate next week to the direction of Leaderonia in the march of Freedomization. No Art, too much head work.
Your Greatness,
I have noticed that so-called "artists" are complaining about this blog's content. I remind these "artists" that the only true "art" is in museums or wealthy patrons' homes, safe from the presence of poor people. If "art" can be experienced by poor people, it is not art!

I have never know the Secretary of The Moving Image to ever be anything but disappointed!
I challenge you to prove me wrong!
