Equips a young man for society
From yesterday's Juventus v Liverpool match. What you don't see is the Liverpool fans who were holding up the sign that reads AT LEAST WE DON'T FUCKING CRUSH OURSELVES TO DEATH IN A FATUOUS, MINCING ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE RIOTING HORDES. Posted by Dana at 09:37 AM

Viva Del Piero!
Posted by: jpoulos at April 14, 2005 10:13 AMMichael Owen who?
Posted by: N at April 14, 2005 11:46 AMwhat happened to the clever-ass comment i wrote? dammit! i think it said:
"Bah, del piero is an overpaid ninny. viva baros!" then it went on to babble about how the italian soccer fans are totally insane hooligans now and the english fans are all genteel. total reversal, that. and all since heysel. so 39 people got crushed to death? big deal! if the italians just embraced the "culture of life," they'd realize that the semi-life of one brain-dead woman trumps the lives of millions of starving children...and forget all about that little heysel thing.
Viva brain-dead women!
Posted by: jpoulos at April 14, 2005 12:16 PMWhat Italian soccer hooligans need is their own Messenger of Peace (or Messaggero di Pace, if you will) who, through living the holy example of his life, will show all the lager louts and knucklehead neanderthals that violence and taunting are no substitute for sweet, sweet love.
But since they're between popes, it ain't gonna happen. Who is there? Andrea Bocelli? Please. He's blind, ferfucksake!
So there you go. Italy! Fuck Yeah!
I got nothing.
Posted by: Chico at April 14, 2005 01:22 PMHey . . . nothing a flung road flare or two couldn't fix.
Posted by: j-go at April 14, 2005 01:59 PMWhat sayeth the Great Leader?
Posted by: N at April 14, 2005 02:09 PMi second that, where is the great leader in this debate?
Posted by: reeves at April 14, 2005 02:16 PMThe Great Leader disapproves this post and all comments attached to it.
The Great Leader is a Non-fascist S.S.Lazio supporter.
dear great leader:
no need to apologize for the fascist tendencies of other lazio supporters. besides, being a liberal and a mississippian, i think i can sympathize at least a little.
It hurts when your fellow supporters erect a giant sign saying ROMA E' FASCISTA . You know.
As for Juventus I can not care less, they are like the Yankees, their loss is my delight.
A non-fascist Lazio supporter is a rare and ephemeral thing, as truly all who are right and just in the world support Roma unto the last.

i don't know you, but if you are being ironic that's fine, otherwise you are as ignorant as the the roma supporters sector that every sunday flies the celtic cross.
and that 's it for this topic.
