So good it hurts!
Peripherally related, this weekend I was informed of rumors that the proprietors of my favorite bar in LIC are republicans. They have a giantess baby. (Do repubs have bigger babies? This one is like a year and a half and looks old enough to drive.) I don't know what to do about this. I mean, on one hand, I can't support tyranny. On the other hand, they did give out free hotdogs all summer. [Thanks, max.] Posted by Dana at 09:40 AM

Posted by: dong resin at November 17, 2004 01:02 PMthat's how they get to you dana. a little largesse goes a long way t'wards tyranny. the only thing left to be done is economic warfare. to the extent that i can, i refuse to buy products or services from any individual or company that supports the fascist regime. we need to come up with a master list of organizations to boycott, even if it means no hotdogs or target. sacrifices will have to be made, now or later.
Posted by: reeves at November 17, 2004 01:10 PMfuck that, i'm happy with my opiates.
as long as they aren't the metaphorical types of opiates.
Posted by: fishfucker at November 17, 2004 11:41 PMGlad you liked it. A little close to home for me -- not the male pattern baldness, I just bought a house in Oakland (which, for you NYers, is approximately Bed-Stuy West). God help me if I ever spawn. As for why I'm talking to my "friends" on teh internets on Sat. night, you would too if you'd been busily gentrifying and inhaling paint fumes all day. Not the metaphorical fumes either.
