Reading assignmentYou should go out and get a copy of this week's New Yorker and read "The Brand" by David Grann, an engrossing article about the Aryan Brotherhood in America's prison system. It's one of the few New Yorker articles that I wish were longer. If you're skeptical, there is a Q&A on their site that should certainly whet your whistle. aryans as christ figures. unspeakable acts of brute violence. a former captain of the brand now on the lamb, and described as possessing a quiet intelligence. it's all there, including the journalist writing the story - as played by angelina jolie.
look out for THE BRAND, splattering the screen of a theater near you with horrible acts of brutality and absolutely zero on-screen sex.
